HOURS FOR CASE FILINGS

Please note the following time frames for case filings, as of April 15, 2011:

Custody/Visitation, Guardianship, Support, and Paternity petitions will be accepted for filing until 4:00pm daily.

Family Offense petitions to be heard the same day as the filing will be accepted until 4:00pm daily.  Petitions to be heard the next court day after filing may be accepted until 4:45pm daily.

Neglect and Abuse  petitions to be heard the same day as the filing will be accepted until 3:00pm daily.  Petitions to be heard the next court day after filing will be accepted until 5:00pm daily.

Juvenile Delinquency petitions to be heard the same day as the filing will be accepted until 3:00pm daily.  Petitions to be heard the next court day after filing will be accepted until 5:00pm daily.

Pre-Petition applications will be accepted until 3:00pm daily.

PINS  petitions will be accepted until 4:00pm daily.

Returns on Warrants arriving late in the day will be evaluated on a case by case basis in light of the need to have all matters heard by the Court prior to 4:30pm daily.

Please also note:

• Family Court buildings open at 8:30am and close at 6:00pm daily.
• All Night Court Operations have been discontinued.
  
• There are no Court Officers present after 6:00pm daily.
• Members of the public with agency employees must exit the building by 5:30pm.
• Agency employees must exit the building by 5:45pm.
