You can find LIFT in the Family Courts in Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens – just look for the table with the purple LIFT sign in the entranceways and waiting areas. You can also find us in the Court's new Help Centers, now open in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. All locations are stocked with LIFT’s multilingual Family Law Resource Guides, and our talented bilingual (Spanish/English) staff and volunteers are there to help you.

Why Visit LIFT in the Courthouse?

Public Transportation Directions
Take the B, D, or 4 trains to the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium station; or the #1, 2, 6, or 32 buses.

Driving Directions
Take Major Deegan Expressway, Exit 5, E161 St to Sheridan Avenue. Metered parking and parking lots near courthouse.

Brooklyn Family Court

Public Transportation Directions
Take the R or M train to the Lawrence Street Station; the G train to the Hoyt Street & Schermerhorn Street Station; the A, F or C train to the Jay Street Station; the 2, 3, 4 or 5 train to the Borough Hall Station.

Take the B67, B41 or B45 bus line to Livingston Street & Smith Street; the B63 or B65 bus line to Atlantic Avenue & Smith Street; B61 to Jay St. (Metro Tech).

Driving Directions
BQE to Tillary Street exit, or Belt Parkway to BQE to Tillary Street Exit. Parking is severely limited. Public transportation is the best option. Municipal parking lot located nearby.

Manhattan Family Court
60 Lafayette Street (map)

Located in the lobby directly past the metal detectors

Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
You may also drop into our Family Legal Center up the block from Family Court at anytime, Monday-Friday, 9-5 -- find us at 350 Broadway, Suite 501, Manhattan (map). All services are free.

Public Transportation Directions
Take the 4 or 5 train to the Brooklyn Bridge Station; the C, N, Q, R, 6 train to Canal Street; the 1 train to Franklin Street.

Take the M1, M6 or M15 bus line.

Driving Directions
Accessible from the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Williamsburg Bridges and from the FDR and West Side Hwys. Many garages in the area, extremely limited street parking. Public transportation is advisable.

Queens Family Court
