LIFT Litigant Letters

LIFT offered a monthly newsletter in 2006 as an additional resource to litigants in the New York City Family Courts. The newsletters provide information on a wide-range of topics meant to keep litigants up-to-date and informed. Included are glossaries of important legal terms, commonly asked questions, and other useful information. They are available below in both English and Spanish:

The Litigant Letters supplement our original Legal Resource Guides, which can be found here.

In 2006, we decided that rather than have two different formats for this useful Family Court information, we would discontinue the Litigant Letter and focus on expanding the range of Legal Resource Guides that LIFT provides.

Please note that LIFT's publications should not take the place of a consultation with an attorney. LIFT encourages all individuals involved with the Family Court, Criminal Court, and child welfare systems to consult with an attorney.
