Celebrating our 12th year of service, LIFT is the only nonprofit organization in New York City dedicated to building legal literacy - ensuring that families, particularly low-income families without legal representation, have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic legal information and services to make informed legal decisions. We provide our services where families need us most - in Courts, in communities throughout the City, and only a phone call away.

LIFT is in the process of extending and expanding our services to even more children and families. Our newest innovation, the Family Legal Center, offers ongoing, individualized legal information and emotional support to parents involved in Family Court. Your support will help us during this period of growth.
Your fully tax-deductible donation will allow LIFT to:
- Create a new "Pat the Pigeon" activity book in our series of resources for children who must wait for hours in dingy waiting rooms in Family Courts across the City as their futures literally hang in the balance.
- Create a Resource Library for the Family Legal Center so that participants can access practical legal information and further hone their cases alongside Center staff.
- Translate our 23 Legal Resource Guides into new languages
so that they may reach a greater audience.
